Terms and Conditions of Booking

 

In making a booking to hire space from Daily Studios, the person, persons or company associated with the hire booking agree to the terms and conditions set out in this document.

 

A booking is considered to be valid once payment is made via the Daily Studios website, or once confirmed by a member of Daily Studios staff.

1. Terminology

 

Throughout this document;

 

“The Studios” / “Daily Studios” refers to Daily Studios of Suite 2, India House, John Bright Street, Birmingham, B1 1BN;

 

“Client” refers to any person utilising the space and/or services of the studios;

 

“The Timeslot” refers to the period for which the client has booked access to the services and equipment provided by the studios;

 

and

 

“Equipment” refers to any items within the studio’s premises that are available for the use of the client, including but not limited to lighting, support and stands, diffusion equipment, microphones, cables, furniture, backdrops and the fixings/fixtures thereof.

2. Booking Times

 

Access to the studio will be available only from the start of the booked time period until the end of the booked timeslot.

 

Access to the studio is available only by booking in advance; walk ups are not accepted.

 

It is the responsibility of the client to allow time for setup and pack-down as part of their total booking time; if the space is not vacated at or before the end of the booked timeslot, Daily Studios may charge a late fee of £30.

 

In the event a client is late arriving for a booked timeslot, their will still finish at the agreed end time, unless overtime is agreed as below. If a client is more than 30 minutes late and the studio receives no contact from them, the booking will be cancelled without a refund and may not be rescheduled.

 

If the studio is available after the end of the booked timeslot, overtime may be purchased onsite at a rate of £25 per hour, in one hour increments.

3. Booking Changes and Cancellations

​

If cancellation is requested 24 hours or fewer prior to the start of the booked timeslot, the timeslot cannot be cancelled and no refunds will be given.

 

If cancellation is requested in advance of 24 hours prior to the start of the booked timeslot, the timeslot may be rescheduled with no charge, or can be cancelled for a refund of 50% of the original value of the booking.

 

Timeslots may rescheduled a maximum of twice; thereafter if further changes are requested, the studios may offer credit on account of the full value of the booking, or a refund of 50% of the value of the original booking.

 

The studios reserve the right to cancel any booked timeslot at any time if the client is found to have breached the terms herein or to have acted in bad faith.

 

The studios reserve the right to cancel and fully refund a booked timeslot at any time if for any reason the studios are unable to fulfil the booking.

4. Use of the Studios

 

During a booked timeslot, the client is permitted access to the two main studio rooms “Studio 1” and “Studio 2”, and is permitted usage of all onsite equipment (such as photography lighting, stands, backdrops etc).

 

Clients may bring additional equipment into the studios but do so at their own risk.

 

Unless otherwise agreed, no technician, photographer, videographer, lighting engineer or other member of production staff is provided by the studios. Studio staff will give an introduction to the space and facilities and assist in initial set up of some equipment, but cannot offer further technical or creative assistance beyond this.

 

No equipment may be removed from the studios.

 

No equipment may be tampered with or modified without prior written consent from the studios.
At the end of the client’s booked timeslot, the studios and all equipment therein must be left clean and tidy.

 

Any damage to the studios, backdrops, or equipment occurring during the booked timeslot (plus, if applicable, any authorised or unauthorised overtime) is the responsibility of the client.
The client is liable for any repair or replacement costs that arise as a result of damaged or missing equipment.

 

The studios may charge an additional cleaning fee if the studios are not left in a satisfactory condition.

 

Clients must notify the studios in advance if their plans change in respect to their requirements of the studio, the number of people in their party, or any other factor that could be reasonably assumed to impact the studios.

 

The total number of people in the studios may not exceed 15 at any time.

 

Daily Studios shares a building with other businesses. Clients must not generate excessive noise and must be respectful of others using the accessways into the studios.

 

Consumption of alcohol and/or restricted substances in the studios is prohibited.

 

5. Applicable Law

 

All agreements shall be governed by UK law.
